You may have heard about the racist “Obama Waffles” story already, but at left is an excellent piece of independent reporting on the topic via americannewsproject.com. In the clip, the racist fat boys behind the product (Mark Whitlock and Bob DeMoss) try to compare it to “Newman’s Own” or “Emeril’s” product lines, among other feeble defenses. Although the Family Research Council – the organizers of the conference where the product got its national launch – tried to distance themselves from the affair, the product was on sale until the very end of the conference according to most sources. The FRC claims it “…strives to assure that the unique attributes of the family are recognized and respected through the decisions of the courts and regulatory bodies…”, but I think this Op-Ed piece – Sarah Palin’s Amazing Grace – more clearly expresses their voice.
