Or: call your album 49:00 because you were 20 in the 80′s

I just thought the hair captured the essence of the post |
The crazy $0.49 download of 49:00, the new release by Paul Westerberg got me thinking about his former band, the Replacements. Although I always admired them, I really never listened to much of the music they produced, and my Replacement fanboy friends all think I’m a poptard for saying I love the song “Kiss Me on the Bus”. To hell with my SnobPunk friends, I stand by my (occasionally valued) opinion that it’s one of the best songs to come out of the 80′s. To this day, I still don’t know what the lyrics really are, it’s just so crafted and so darn catchy that I don’t really care. Check out this embarrasingly 80′s YouTube clip of the song from Back Porch Videos, the dorky but way-ahead-of-its-time cable access program that was crewed and hosted by frighteningly New Wave high-school kids from Detroit.
