Technically I don't believe anyone should be outed by someone else. But the idea that someone is taking an anti-gay stance probably to retain voters when they are in fact gay is really, really repellent. It actually makes the form of blackmail where one could say to them, "either you come out or I'll out you" look almost legit. But is it so different than not telling ones parents because they can't handle it either? But then ones parents most likely don't make laws and policy. But that is all "two wrongs" kind of stuff.
